Canada gets screwed again

I should be used to it by now, but it still pisses me off. Sony reveals a new movie download service at E3 for the PS3 which I was overjoyed to hear would be region locked to north america, and that it would be coming to Europe "soon". Well I checked my Playstation Store on my PS3.. nothing. WTF Sony!?! Last time I checked Canada was part of north america. All of the stories say its 'region locked' by IP address, but isn't Canada in the same region as the US? Canadians get screwed again, I thought I might finally get a decent movie download service here. Still no netflix and I refuse to give Apple any money. So I guess its back to the 'other' movie download services. God dammit, I'm willing to give these companies money, but they don't seem to want it.. oh well.
