Hyper-V rocks.. and kinda sucks at the same time

Geh.
I wanted to set up a server and a linux machine and a couple of xp workstations as virtual machines, so I figured I would play around with Microsoft's new virtualization stuff in Windows 2008 server.
You can download it here.
It installed no problem, even recognized my Nvidia RAID controller and network adapter, something even XP has a problem with. Its up and running and I can remotely log in to the console... But I find out that you have to use a 2008 or Vista SP1 machine with the Hyper-V managment console installed. I use XP as my primary computer, so I fired up the Dell laptop with vista and tried connecting. No Go.. WTF. I get some error that the RPC service is unable to connect... guess its back to VMWare.
