Wow, I never realized how absolutely ridiculously out of date our copyright laws are here in Canada. According to Michael Geist's latest column in the Toronto Star, using a VCR or a PVR to time shift TV shows is techinically illegal. I'd be very surprised if the upcoming bill for copyright reform addresses any of this, we should all probably mail this to our MP's.
